Womens Fund Nominations

Nominate yourself or others to help design the women with disabilities grant.

Overview.

We are looking to work with six women with disabilities from Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana to design our newest round of funding aimed at supporting women with disabilities and their movements to work on ratification of the African Disability Protocol.

Nominations

Self-nominations to join the design team are welcome from:

Women with disabilities over the age of 18
Who are working and living in Ghana, Tanzania or Uganda
Doing work on women with disabilities rights and justice or involved in the women with disabilities movements.

ADD would like a diverse representation of the community of women with disabilities, women with disabilities who are underrepresented in the disability movement are particularly encouraged to apply for example young women with disabilities, those with chronic illnesses and those with learning difficulties.

The fund is also focused on working on the African Disability Protocol, so interest and knowledge of this area is particularly welcome.

More information on how the grant design team will work is in the terms of reference below. The nomination form that women need to complete can also be found below. Nominations can be submitted in English, kiswahili and national sign languages. Video and audio applications are also accepted. All nominations need to be sent to nominations@add.org.uk
