How to help

Please donate money if you possibly can! There are so many different ways you can do this and it means SO much to some of the world's poorest people.

ADD gift card

We have two picture cards to choose from, one is of Baako A Rufai and Musah Haruna, pictured at the top of the page, and the other is of the mango tree as seen on the 'How we work' page. You can choose to donate either an amount from the suggested list below, or any other amount, either by cheque or credit card. For more information, please contact Jason or call 01373 475725.

£12 pays for a disabled person to attend an awareness raising workshop on the right to vote and how to use the tactile ballot guide.

£20 pays for 10 disabled people to attend training workshops in tailoring or carpentry.

£30 pays a disabled person to attend a 3 day course on accounts keeping, a skill for life.

ADD bags

Our new bags are eco friendly, 100% reusable, 100% recyclable and fold to fit into your pocket or handbag.  Actual size is: (HxWxD) 45cm x 40cm x 6cm.

How can you get your bag?  Make a donation (suggested £3.50) by clicking the donate now button.  In the more information box state that your donation is for an ADD bag - and we'll send you one.

Other ways to donate:

  • Online - click on the blue "Donate Now" button on the left of this screen
  • Shop using the Amazon link on the homepage and around 5% of every purchase you make comes directly to ADD - please make sure you remember to use the link.
  • envirocharities is a scheme dedicated to helping charities raise money through mobile phone recycling. The process is really simple, sell your old mobile phone on a dedicated ADD page on their website and we receive a donation of £3.00.  envirocharities guarantee that every phone is either reused in developing countries or recycled, ensuring that all phones collected are diverted from landfill sites.
  • everyclick is an internet search engine that donates half its revenues to charity. If you use everyclick.com as your search engine every search you do will raise money for Action on Disability and Development.  Please click here to do all your searching. Don't forget to add it to your favourites, or you can make it your home page by clicking on the link in the top right hand corner of the site. It does not cost us, or you, a penny - so please use it - and pass the message on!
  • When you sell any items on eBay you can choose to donate 10-100% of your item's selling price to ADD.  Your item will benefit from standing out with the special blue and yellow ribbon and ADD's logo, click here to find out more.
  • By phone - call 01373 475725 and have your credit card or CAF card ready
  • By post - print off a donation form from this page and send it to us with a cheque, postal order or your credit card or CAF card details.
  • Become a regular supporter - donating via a standing order really helps us to plan for the future and provide the long-lasting support that disabled people need. You can print off a standing order form here and send it to us.
  • Sign a Gift Aid declaration - if you are a UK taxpayer ADD can gain nearly a third again on your gift without any further cost to you.
  • Donate your shares - visit http://www.sharegift.org/ and please state that you'd like to donate them to ADD.
  • Gifts in kind - perhaps you can offer your time, goods, or professional services
  • Corporate donations - either directly through company charitable funds or by holding an event in aid of ADD
  • Payroll giving - a simple, tax-free way of regularly giving to ADD directly from your pay.
  • Self-Assessment taxpayers - you can specify any amount of a tax repayments to a nominated charity - our unique code is JAHZG.
  • Remember ADD in your will - we have a leaflet offering advice about what you might like to consider when writing your will. Please contact Hannah on 01373 475726.
  • Donations to ADD instead of presents - ask your friends and family to help mark your special occasion by making a donation to ADD and making a change to disabled people's lives in developing countries.
