Accessibility

As an organisation working with disabled people as they campaign for their rightful inclusion in society, one of our top priorities is the accessibility of all the materials we produce.  We can provide copies of our annual review, newsletters and factsheets in large print, Braille, pdf and audio.

Because this is important to us, during the design of this website, we have taken steps to ensure that this site is compatible with W3C's accessibility guidelines.

The BSL clips on this site were performed and filmed by Lorraine Wapling, previously, ADD UK Programme Co-ordinator and James Banks, BSL Interpreter.  We thank Vision Sign for supplying the lighting free of charge and Platform 1 for the use of their camera.

We have also provided options for colour, font size and text only and the images on our website have alternative text attributes (also known as alt text). This means that when an image is used to convey information its content is also described in the alt text. This means that the image can be understood by text browsers and screen readers.

If you have any comments, questions or suggestions about the accessibility of this site, we would be pleased to hear them, as we are committed to ongoing improvement of this site.  If you would like any information, help or advice on making your own information accessible, we would be pleased to help.  Please contact Gail Johnston.
