Most marginalised

Photo: Emma HinesPeople with albinism, people who are Deaf/blind, people with intellectual impairments - are among the most marginalised groups of disabled people. Our work embraces all disabled people, regardless of their impairment.

The disability movement in each country is different and it is not up to anyone else to decide if a group with a specific impairment and/or condition should be a part of it or not - that is a decision for the group itself. For instance, we have supported the Tanzania Albino Society since it was established in 1999, while in Uganda it is only over recent years that we have supported the formation of the Elgon Foundation of Persons with Albinism.
